SOME WORDS ABOUT ME AND HOW I WORK SOME QUESTIONS WHICH CROP UP
Q. Do you only work in the Paris area? A. No, I'll go anywhere. Mail me at the address below. Q. What equipment do you use? A. A wide range of professional Canon gear, plus back up. Q. What are the most important aspects of your wedding photography, in your opinion? A. Two points : It's rare to find people who are 100% comfortable in front of the camera, therefore, ensuring everyone is relaxed, and making sure that I do not break the natural flow of your wedding day is vital to me. The other important aspect, clearly the most important aspect, is the final product - your wedding photographs. I concentrate fully on making sure that the final body of work gives a satisfying representation of your day. I do not spend the day taking photos with the aim of making extra sales to your guests and family afterwards. Q. When will we receive our album/DVD? A. The DVD will be with you within three weeks of your wedding day. Usually less. The album will take longer, but is well worth the wait ... Q. How many photos will we receive? A. If you have ordered the album then there is on average 125 photos inside. You can of course order extra pages, and you may choose a layout that will hold many more than 125 photos. If you order the DVD then I usually choose around three hundred photos to put on it, but if you feel you must have more then let me know. Having 600 photos from your professional photographer may seem like a great idea, but it really is too many - trust me. But as I said, if that's what you want just let me know. Q. Do you "photoshop" the images? A. I use Photoshop exclusively for processing the photographs, but I don't use it for excessive, fake-looking effects. I began shooting weddings with film, and treat my digital images in practically the same manner. All pictures are colour balanced to optimise photo quality. Q. What style of wedding photos do you shoot? A. I shoot a mix of traditional wedding photographs, portraiture and photojournalism. The best thing would be for you to check out my photo galleries. Q. Will you be taking lots of "fun" shots? A. It's your day and the photos will reflect your personalities, whether you want to keep them simple or have fun trying out lots of ideas ... it's completely up to you. I won't be asking you to do anything ridiculous, that's for sure. If you're having fun (which you will be) your guests will be having fun, and I'll capture the atmosphere of the day without resorting to having you jump in the air, clicking your heals etc. Q. We have lots of precise ideas for photos we want to do. Can we try these too? A. Yep ... just let me know. Again, it's your day, and your photos, so whatever you want is good with me. Q. How long do we need for the group photos? A. Obviously that depends on the amount of group shots you want - it's entirely your call. I'd recommend (due to past experiences) that you have an idea of all the group shots you want beforehand, maybe even put a list together of who should be in each shot. Q. We would like to meet you before we make a final decision on our wedding photographer, is that ok? A. No problem at all. Get in touch, and we can arrange a time which is suitable for you. However, if you live out with the Paris area (more than two hour drive) we will most likely need to meet over the phone instead. Q. We want to book you! What happens next? A. Email me with the date and location of your wedding. A deposit of 25% of the basic option price along with a signed agreement between us secures this date for you ...
